Christmas Hope

Christ, the Hope of all the ages,
Anticipated by the sages,
Promised in God's Holy Pages,
Came on Christmas Day.

Hope to all the sick and weary,
Cheer for joyless lives so dreary,
Sight to blind eyes, dull and teary,
Jesus brought that day.

Hope to the hopeless offering,
Peace to troubled lives, He'll bring
Deliverance from Satan's sting,
Ever since that day.

Hope fulfilled to all who seek,
Strength for the tempted and the weak,
Encouragement when life looks bleak,
Jesus gives each day.

Hope of Heaven for sad and sighing,
Hope of life for dead and dying,
Life Eternal now supplying,
Jesus brings today!
