Christmas Is

Christmas is a time of joy
For every girl and every boy,
And even grown-ups too!
But in the fun and gifts we get,
O let us never quite forget
WHY all these things we do.

The gifts we give are just to show
God loved His children here below
So much He gladly gave
His Own dear Son to come to earth,
Appearing through a human birth
Our precious souls to save.

So, have a lovely holiday,
With happiness and time to play,
And share with others too.
But most of all, this time of year,
Say "Happy Birthday, Jesus dear,
For we all love You too!"
