Christmas Joy

Christmas JOY first came to Mary
As she held her new-born Son,
Her heart filled with awe and wonder
At God's Gift of this Little One.

The Innkeeper shared the excitement
That a child's birth always brings.
Glad to be part of the story
As the happy news took wings.

Shepherds were thrilled they were chosen
To have seen the Angel throng,
And responded in glad obedience
To the Joyful Message in song.

Wise Men in their star-led journey
Were overjoyed to behold
The long-awaited Messiah
As many prophets foretold.

Christ's Birth was just the beginning
Of God's magnificent Plan.
To the Cross and Grave went our Saviour
To obtain Salvation for man.

Real Joy is the message of Christmas,
Joy that makes our spirits sing.
When Christ is invited to enter,
His Joy with Him He'll bring.

Joy of knowing our sins forgiven,
And experiencing His grace;
Reconciled with our Heavenly Father,
In communion face to face.

If your heart is heavy and burdened,
Let Christ His Healing employ.
Just open your life to His Spirit
And discover the Dawning of Joy!
