I Can Still Celebrate Christmas!

I just received a greeting card
To wish me Christmas Cheer,
It showed a grinning Santa –
But I don't feel merry this year
Because my precious husband
Is no longer with me here.

But it is still the Birthday
Of Jesus, Lord and King,
And I'm so thankful for His Birth
That carols I can sing,
Even though my heart is aching
And tears in my eyes sting.

I can bring my heavy burden
Before the Mercy Seat,
Assured that He is faithful
My every need to meet.
And also lay my treasure
In worship at His Feet.
As I celebrate His Coming,
He makes my joy complete!
