Love

Love is so ethereal!
We cannot say “Look at Love -
See its glorious colour
Or shape!”

We cannot describe its form
Its length
Or the elements
Of which it consists.

Its attributes are intangible;
Yet we know it is warm
It is delightful
It is a blessing!
Some say Love is Divine.

It is wonderful to give;
Even more special to receive.
It brings happiness, contentment,
A sense of belonging,
And fosters self-worth.

So, let us nourish
The love we have,
And share it lavishly
With everyone around us,
(Even those who are hard to love);
For love is self-fulfilling
And brings returns
Many times over.

As it is sown in the lives of others
Love reaps a marvelous harvest
Of more beautiful love.
