Nativity

No longer in a Manger,
But reigning on His Throne;
No more an unknown Stranger,
Rejected by His own;
No longer homeless, lonely,
Or hanging on the Tree;
Christ rose, the One and Only
To live eternally.

Lord, I would be partaker
Of Your Nativity;
Be now my blest Remaker –
Be born again in me,
No more to be rejected
Because there is no room;
Your Lordship is accepted,
Your rightful place assume.

No longer would I wallow
In ways of self and sin,
With eagerness I'd follow
Your Spirit's Voice within.
No more in fear and failing
My footsteps shall be led,
But in the Power availing,
For which Your Blood was shed.
