The Mystery and the Glory

(Col. 1:26-27)

What mystery! What glory!
Within the sacred story
Of God, His Son bestowing,
His love and mercy showing!
As God to man drew nearer,
His character showed clearer,
Salvation's truth revealing,
And man's redemption sealing.

That mystery now knowing,
Our hearts are overflowing
With the glory of God's Heaven,
Which unto men is given.
God's presence now enjoying,
His Spirit's power employing,
We praise the God of Glory
For this blessed Christmas story!
