Where on Earth is Peace?

At the time of Jesus' birth
The angels sang of Peace on Earth
And goodwill among men that should not cease.
But in the intervening years,
And these days of strife and fears,
Some may wonder – Where on Earth is Peace?

For there still is hate and war,
Greed demanding more and more,
Millions starving from the lack of daily bread.
Homes are being torn apart,
No true love within the heart,
And lonely children weep their way to bed!

But the love of God is great –
It does not discriminate,
And is stronger far than all the bitterness.
He sacrificed His Son
To reconcile each one,
So men could have true peace and happiness.

The answer then is clear –
Now our Saviour Christ is here,
From all bondage He can wondrously release.
When we lift our hearts in prayer,
Give to Him the loads we bear –
Praise God, we find that JESUS IS OUR PEACE!
